Bacopa is a succulent and glabrous creeping herb that roots at nodes. Its distinctive features include a spreading habit, sessile and fleshy leaves, and light bluish, purple, or white flowers. The ovate leaves are arranged opposite each other and exhibit a dotted lower surface.
