Rehmannia Root, or Radix Rehmanniae, originates from the root of Rehmannia glutinosa and holds a significant position among the 50 essential herbs in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Its roots in Chinese medical literature trace back to the Han Dynasty (200 BCE). Tradition dictates a meticulous preparation process involving ten rounds of steaming and nine cycles of sun-drying. Often, the root undergoes a steaming process with wine until it achieves a black and moist appearance.
