Avocado/soybean extracts consist of unsaponifiable fractions, comprising one-third avocado oil and two-thirds soybean oil. In laboratory settings, these extracts demonstrated the inhibition of interleukin-1 (IL-1) and promoted collagen synthesis in articular chondrocyte cultures. Furthermore, in another in vitro model, they exhibited a partial preventive effect against the detrimental impact of IL-1 on human synovial cells and completely nullified its effects on rabbit articular chondrocytes.
