Balloon Vine is used for the treatment of rheumatism, abdominal pain, orchitis, dropsy, lumbago, skin diseases, cough, nervous disorders, and hyperthermia.
Balloon Vine has been found to be useful for treating skin conditions including eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, acne, dandruff, seborrheic dermatitis, and other fungal infections. It also contains anti-inflammatory agents which may help relieve pain associated with arthritis
Balloon Vine lowers blood sugar and cholesterol levels in the liver and inhibits the release of histamine. Internally: treats coughs with profuse phlegm, colds, bronchitis, pleurisy, pulmonary abscesses and throat infections. It is also used to treat hypertension and diabetes in Korea.
