Siam Benzoin, more accurately termed a “balsamic resin,” is a natural gum-resin extracted from the Styrax Tonkinensis, a petite tree indigenous to Indochina (specifically Laos and Tonkin). Several other species are recognized for producing analogous gum-resins referred to as Siam benzoin.
