Other name: grapple plant, wood spider
Devil’s claw was introduced to Europe in the early 1900s, and since then, the dried roots have been utilized to stimulate appetite, alleviate heartburn, and diminish pain and inflammation. Presently, devil’s claw is extensively employed in Germany and France to combat inflammation or alleviate discomfort associated with arthritis, headaches, and low back pain.
