Botanical Name: Azadirachta indica A
Other Names: margosa, nimtree or Indian lilac.
Neem seeds consist of approximately 50–60% seed material, with the remaining portion comprising the kernel. The fat content within the kernels varies from 33 to 45%. The neem seeds contain 40–45% oil, while the rest constitutes the cellular matrix of the seeds.
