Passion flower is a swiftly proliferating trailing vine that ascends using axillary tendrils. While it adopts a woody nature in warm winter climates, it regresses to the ground in colder regions during winter. Indigenous to the southeastern United States, it thrives in average, well-drained soils, displaying optimal growth in full sun to partial shade.
