Phyllanthus niruri L., a member of the Phyllanthaceae family, is a petite herb known for its diverse medicinal properties, making it widely utilized across the globe. Within the Indian Ayurvedic system, it finds application in treating conditions such as jaundice, ulcers, skin diseases, diabetes, chest pain, and urinary complications.

Bhumi Amla has various therapeutic effects like antimicrobial, hepatoprotective, anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant, anti-cancer, anti-viral, anti-plasmodial and diuretic.
