Starflower, a perennial herb, thrives from slender, creeping rhizomes. Its leaves are uncomplicated, arranged in whorls of 5 to 9 at the stem’s apex. These leaves are either stemless or possess very short stalks, exhibiting a structure that ranges from entire to finely-toothed.
