Other name: Granose
Derived from yellow corn, where the germ, oil, and the majority of proteins have been extracted, the corn is subsequently rolled between heated rollers to create flakes. Through the cooking and rolling procedure, the starches undergo “gelatinization,” rendering them easily soluble and digestible by the enzymes present in the mash. This unique preparation enables the flakes to be seamlessly incorporated into the mash without necessitating any special treatment.
