Botanical name: Labisia pumila
Other name: selusoh Fatimah, pokok pinggang, rumput palis, tadah matahari, mata pelanduk rimba, bunga belungkas hutan, remoyan batu and angkoh.
Kacip Fatimah, belonging to the Myrsinaceae family, thrives in the tropical rainforests of Malaysia and Indonesia. Traditional wisdom suggests that administering a decoction of the roots or whole plants to pregnant women one to two months before delivery is believed to facilitate a smoother birthing process.
